Metalscan Inspection Services offers training and certification in Non Destructive Testing (NDT-ASNT Level II) for Mechanical Engineers whoever is interested to develop their carrier as a QA / QC Engineer / Inspector. Non-Destructive Testing is a specialized branch of Engineering Science and is a part of quality control (QC), which uses Ionizing Radiation (Radiographic Testing), Ultrasonic Sound Waves (Ultrasonic Testing), Magnetic Flux (Magnetic Particle Testing) etc. to test the integrity of casting, forging welding etc. without impairing its usefulness. In the event a fresh mechanical engineering graduate looking for a placement in QA/QC department of an Engineering Construction Company needs special training on welding inspection, non destructive testing, coating inspection etc. As you know, engineering companies are involved in construction and maintenance of industrial projects such as Oil Field Industries, Refineries, Pipelines, Ship Building, Aircraft, Bridges, Power Plants, Nuclear Projects, Cement Plants, chemical plants, fertilizers etc. and are constructed in accordance with International Quality Standards such as: American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME Standards) American Petroleum Institute (API Standards) American Welding Society (AWS Standards) American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM Standards) National Aerospace Standards (NAS Standards) American National Standards Institute (ANSI Standards) European National Standard Hence engineers should be capable to follow these standards during design, construction / fabrication, installation and maintenance of projects.
