Job Description:
Perform the following ultrasonic inspection duties: Participate in the development of new test programs, procedures and acceptance criteria for calibration standards and production parts. Devise and implement part holding techniques. Provide interpretation and evaluation of test indications. Inspect parts in accordance with established test programs, calibration standards and inspection plans. Set up ultrasonic test equipment for semi-automatic or manual operation. Stamp or otherwise indicate parts that are of acceptable quality. Maintain inspection records. Note flaw indications and prepare documentation for parts of unacceptable quality. Perform radiographic inspection duties as follows: Compare company and/or vendor radiographs against accepted standards and determine acceptability. Take x-rays of composite and or metal parts and assemblies. Set up parts, adjust machine for penetration and exposure. Develop film using darkroom methods, equipment and techniques. Must be willing to work in a team environment. May be required to work 2nd or 3rd shift.

Competencies:
RT Level II and UT Level II certification required. Documented proof of 80 hours Level II training and 1600 hours of experience per discipline required. Experience in the use of on-line systems and automated scanning equipment preferred.

Education Requirements:
Vocational or other training to meet Level II certification requirement.
