Long Description:
The technician in this role must be capable of assuming a senior role in both the conduct on the individual project level, and with the other technicians gaining experience around them. This position is expected to be able to follow, and implement all the written practices and policies regarding the pipeline integrity inspections, as well as develop these procedures to constantly improve the delivered product to the clients. This position requires analytical abilities, good communication skills (for both co-workers and clients), a great working knowledge of the various NDE disciplines, and solid professional writing capabilities.
This position will be responsible for being a lead on various in-field projects, and in the training and development of the other technicians being brought through our pipeline integrity training system. This position requires the ability of the applicant to be away from their residence for periods of time from 2 consecutive days up to 60 consecutive days without relief.
Required Technical Qualifications:
Recognized 40 hour Pipeline Integrity Training Program (Needed for both Junior & Senior positions)
Crack Sizing Ultrasonic Course 40 hr minimum (only needed for Senior positions)
ACCP / CGSB / ASNT Level 2 Ultrasonic Certificate (for Junior positions only Level 1 Ultrasonic Certificate needed)
ACCP / CGSB / ASNT Level 2 Magnetic Particle Certificate (Needed for both Junior & Senior positions)
Working knowledge of Rstreng Calculation Software (only needed for Senior positions)
Required Minimum Experience Levels:
Minimum of 2 years in the pipeline integrity industry (For Junior position - only min of 1 year exp needed)
Minimum of 200 dig assessments (For Junior position - only min of 50 dig assessments needed)
Minimum of 3 separate client projects (For Junior position - only min of 2 separate client projects needed)
Minimum of 50 reports to your credit (For Junior position - only min of 15 reports to your credit needed)
Beneficial Experience:
Working with automated ultrasonic inspection equipment
Working with automated corrosion assessment equipment
Familiarity with Databases operations
Good working knowledge of computers and all windows based applications
Good typing skills
