Multi-billion dollar world leader who supplies technical expertise in metallurgy, composites, coatings, chemistry and nondestructive testing to a variety of industries is hiring a Senior Welding Engineer.
The successful individual should have technical expertise in Welding Engineering and experience with nondestructive testing and failure analysis of welds to support manufacturing operations.
Duties will include design for manufacturability reviews, process selection and definition, supplier review and selection, failure analysis, weld inspection, welding procedure development, nondestructive testing analysis, training of welders and weld inspectors, as well as, administration of the welder certification program.
Extensive hands-on experience in welding procedure development and testing, welding operator qualifications, welding fabrication problem solving and weld inspection.

Skills:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Welding Engineering
4+ years of directly related welding experience with aluminum and structural steel
AWS QC-1 Welding Inspector Certification
Hands on experience with nondestructive testing methods such as RT, UT, PT, and MT. Nondestructive Testing Level II or III certifications a plus.
Knowledge of Design of Experiments, Six Sigma and statistical techniques
Demonstrated problem solving skills. Must be self motivated and possess good communication skills.
