Provide in-house consulting and engineering activities for clients.
Plans, conducts, and directs engineering research and development projects of major significance which may be very difficult and complex in nature and may require expert application of advanced engineering knowledge from several different fields; and resolves difficult root cause failure analysis to prevent future failures.

Designs and develops new and unique engineering methods and procedures, special equipment, innovative test procedures, special analysis of failure techniques, and communicates these advanced concepts by way of detailed technical reports for clients and are used in the supervision/mentoring and education of lower level reliability engineers.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Positive Material Identification, Digital Radiography, Ultrasonics, fitness for service, finite element analysis, vibration monitoring techniques/guidelines, preventative maintenance and maintenance planning.
This may include diagnostics on industrial equipment, motors, pumps, and other rotating equipment, boilers etc. Provide technical services, PMI, UT, DR, condition monitoring, diagnostic services, IR, vibration, UE, PdM and PM development, AV Sim reliability modeling, fan balancing, RES equipment maintenance, ODS analysis and corrective services for clients. Technical services include data acquisition and analysis, timely, comprehensive and accurate report generation that includes recommendations.
Some Senior Reliability Engineer Experts may specialize in structural modification and design modification work. May be requested to take the lead on certain jobs related to the engineer¡¦s expertise thereby supervising and delegating to reliability engineers and condition monitoring specialists.

Standard hours of work: 8 a.m. ¡V 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week. Frequent business travel is to be expected. Overtime is expected on various projects.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Knowledge
„Í (Mechanical) Engineering degree required.
„Í API standards beneficial
„Í Non destructive testing methods (PMI, UT, DR) beneficial
„Í Vibration Specialist Certificate (Category 2) beneficial.
„Í Thermography level 1 beneficial.
„Í Ultrasound level 1 beneficial.
Experience
„Í 1 to 3 years engineering experience preferably mechanical.
„Í Demonstrated ability to effectively lead people in projects.
„Í Experience with industrial facilities
Computer Programs - Would be beneficial if familiar with:
„Í ME Scope
„Í Autocad
„Í ANSYS
„Í AV Sim
„Í IBA Scope
„Í RBMware
„Í Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Specific Skills

„Í Have sufficient physical mobility or agility to be able to respond quickly to fire or other emergencies and sufficient dexterity to use the equipment and perform diagnostics.
„Í Be able to tolerate moderate to high amounts of dust and chemical fumes from equipment without negative allergic consequences.
Work Environment
„Í MUST have or qualify for attainment of a valid passport. MUST be willing and able to travel extensively worldwide. On average in the past traveled 50% of work schedule.
„Í Be willing to relocate out of La Porte, Tx based on future project requirements.
„Í Typically, the noise level in the work environment is moderate to high.
„Í Ability to tolerate extreme temperatures both heat and cold often occurs
