The Operations Manager reports to the Division Manager and is responsible for the effectiveness and uniformity of his departmental operations and is continually responsible to improve the efficiency of their operation. The position will have full responsibility for the departmental operating results.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Corporate Governance
Execute the responsibilities of Operations Manager according to lawful and ethical standards. Uphold, safeguard and promote Acuren’s values and philosophy relating particularly to ethics, integrity, reliability, including safety and quality, and corporate responsibility.

Reliability
Safety: Develop a world-class safety program within the division. Strategize with the staff to develop a culture that embraces safety, recognizes hazards, and takes action to minimize risk. Ensure employees conduct hazard assessments on every job and that all staff understands they are not to take risks and must refuse unsafe work.
Provide resources to ensure we use quality and appropriate safety equipment, carry out safety training where required, and to conduct safety audits on a regular basis. Provide direct management and leadership in the investigation of all safety incidents. Has responsibility for the division driver safety policies.

Quality: Focuses to ensure clients are provided with quality services in a timely manner. Worker training, use of procedures, project supervision and peer review are all areas that require management focus in Acuren’s business. Ensure that staff assigned to each project exhibit adequate training and experience and that we have complete and accurate certification documents on file to support the required certification. Work with the Hellier training group to develop supplementary training programs where industry training has proven insufficient. Where appropriate, utilizing an objective scorecard to implement and track stewardship, market penetration, and customer service.

Efficiency: Responsible for the effective utilization of the workforce and the maintenance and calibration of equipment to include creating a transparent work model for both clients and employees by identifying employee skill sets and appropriate job placement, assignment and procurment of necessary equipment and other resources to ensure clients' needs are met in a timely and cost effective manner.

Responding to client requests for proposals, quotations, project walk-downs, or responding to client requests for services
Responsible for assignment of field personnel for all requests for service. Maximize utilization levels of 90% or higher on a monthly basis. Approve all time sheets for the department.
Maintain communication and support full-time sites with personnel and equipment.
Complete annual reviews for all personnel within the department
Ensure quality standards and procedures are adhered to in the field
Adhere to all Acuren standard operating procedures
Maintain equipment and applicable records to ensure that all assets are in working order and available for assignment.
Responsible for the maintenance of vehicles, buildings and grounds
Provide periodic updates to Division Manager and weekly reports as required
Ensure appropriate communications between all department and division personnel
Handle all quality issues in accordance with company policy and insure that quality standards are adhered to within the department
Participate in client stewardship meetings and sales calls on an as required basis
Have complete knowledge of all field operations and client requirements
Complete periodic field audits of personnel on field assignments
Responsible for the procurement of all required supplies and consumables
Make necessary travel arrangements, including travel, hotel and transportation for field operating crews
Develop with Regional Compliance Manager the (52 week) safety meeting plan
Oversee with Regional Compliance Manager all Radiation Safety operations
Ensure departmental adherence to drug and alcohol testing program
Review field reports, invoices, and final reports prior to mailing
Submit order acknowledgement forms according to standard operating procedures

REQUIREMENTS:

High energy with the ability to work in a fast paced organization
Willingness and ability to work overtime routinely
Excellent communication and team oriented skills
Track record of positive customer relations
NDT experience preferred with strong technical background in methods and procedures
Demonstrated analytical, technical and problem solving skills and abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft programs with strong Excel, Word, and Outlook skills
Ability to create and manipulate Excel spreadsheets
5-7 years progressive management experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
