This is an urgent need in Corpus Christi, at a well-known oil and gas company, for a QC Manager. This facility currently lacks a Quality Control Manager ("QM") and will require an acting Quality Manager to help guide them through a re-certification audit and potentially help train the new QM.
The QM will be responsible for maintaining and managing the quality system, organizing all documentation, record keeping, and possibly re-establishing quality documents and SOP’s. They do not require any personnel supervision or management. The QC Manager may need to perform inspection and verify inspection procedures.
This person would be asked to provide assistance 2-3 days per week through December 2012. This role may lead to a permanent opportunity, but this would not be known until the person is on the ground working.
Skills:
Applicants must have a thorough understanding of ASME sections 8 & 9 and ISO 9001 Quality System requirements. The customer would prefer a QC Manager with hands on pressure vessel manufacturing experience, past experience as an Inspector or Quality Engineer, and experience in the oil and gas industry.
