Description:

BRADKEN’s Tacoma Machine Shop has an immediate position available for Journey Machinists.

Candidate will report to the Machine Shop Supervisor and will have overall responsibility to review, read, determine, plan, and set-up equipment to meet work orders per customer specification. Candidate will be machining large complex parts.

These responsibilities include calculating cuts required, determine tooling requirements, and review customer specification/drawing for one/off precision machine parts while planning operations.

Skills:

Candidate will have 6 + years conventional machine medium to large, milling and turning experience on complex steel structures. Also have strong communication and math skills (must know trigonometry, speeds & feeds calculations & basic algebra). CNC experience is a plus. Knowledge of cutting tools and speeds and feeds are a must. Knowledge of inspection tools for precise measurements is required.
