Production Manager – cnc milling, lathes, edm, swiss lathes, medical

A international corporation producing spinal implants and surgical instruments is searching for a leader of their state of the art spinal implant machining cells. We are searching for a highly motivated manager with team orientated leadership style. Promotable candidates are strongly desired. The Production Manager will work from a schedule, planning production, monitoring throughput and assigning standard work to the highly skilled machining team. Past experience hiring, training, developing, disciplining, reviewing and mentoring associates is strongly preferred. This position will lead cross functional teams to improve processes, methods and machining efficiencies. Strong problem solving skills and the ability to resolve bottlenecks, quality and machining issues. Knowledge of multi-axis CNC machine tools is a must. Experience implementing Lean, Kaizen, 5-S and SMED is a plus. Interested candidates will need experience working in a highly regulated manufacturing environment requiring documentation and quality compliance. Knowledge of FDA, FAA, ISO-13485, AS-9100, mil spec and /or nuclear regulated manufacturing systems is needed. Strong communication skills with the ability to set goals, objectives and expectations is a must. Candidates with 10 years of high precision machining and supervision experience or degreed candidates should apply. This is a growing operation with plenty of opportunities for career advancement.

MUST HAVE: a minimum of 10 years of supervision and/or a 4 year degree along with past machining experience. Knowledge of highly regulated quality systems such as ISO-13485, AS-9100, FDA, FAA, nuclear regulations, mil specs and/or DOD regulations is needed. Candidates will need experience managing in a close tolerance precision CNC manufacturing environment.
