Westech Inspection is a growing company that is seeking candidates for full time and part time positions as well as independent contractors.
Looking for an Inspector who has both API-510 & 653 to fill a full time position on a site in Parlin, NJ.
Qualifications for position are as follows (Some are requirements, others are bonuses): API Inspector – Parlin Site

Qualifications:
• API 510 – Pressure Vessels, Required
• API 570 – Piping
• API 653 – Above-Ground Storage Tanks, Required
• New Jersey Certificate of Compliance (COC)
• NDE Level II Visual
• NDE Level II Ultrasonic Thickness
• DuPont Employee
• OSHA Confined Space Training
• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)

Functions of API Inspector:
• Inspection of pressure vessels
o Verify NDE examinations, perform NDE work if needed
o Complete inspection reports
o Complete initial in-service inspection per N.J.A.C 12;90
• Inspection of tanks
o Verify NDE examinations, perform NDE work if needed
o Complete inspection reports
• Inspection of piping
o Verify NDE examinations, perform NDE work if needed
o Complete inspection reports
o Review Piping Quality Control Traveler (PQCT) for new piping
 Will place hold points on traveler
 Witness all required inspections
 Approve of set pressure during pressure test
• Welding
o Would act as Site Welding Champion
 Responsible for welding procedures
 Responsible for welder qualifications
 Responsible for weld inspections
 Responsible for ensuring welding consumables are ordered and stored appropriately
 Review radiography film of welds, time-temperature charts for heat treatment
• Incoming Materials
o Verify Material Test Reports (MTR’s) for incoming materials are adequate and correct for the application. Ensure that incoming material is identified with appropriate ASTM/ASME specifications.
o Assures that only proper materials are used for all repairs and alterations
• Vendors
o Assure that all required Quality Control requirements are specified and followed for the fabrication of new parts and pressure vessels
 Conducts follow up inspections
 Establishes hold points
 Checks for valid Certificate of Authorization
 Reviews design calculations and drawings
 Ensures that materials comply with Code specifications, DuPont Standards, and etc.
 Ensures that only qualified welding procedures are used and that the correct heat treatment has been performed.
 Ensures that all required NDE has been satisfactorily performed with documented acceptable results.
 Checks vessel for dimensional tolerances, nozzle sizes and locations, and supports
 Sign off the Certificate of Inspection as required by the applicable Code
 For piping, will approve drawings and sketches from which pipe will be fabricated for all services
• Repairs and Alterations
o Act as the Inspector following all applicable procedures for repairs and alterations
o Complete appropriate National Board form for repairs on registered vessels
o Responsibility to recommend repairs or re-rate vessel for safe operation
o Approve emergency and minor repair inspections
o Witness hydrostatic test
• In-Service Inspections
o Will determine appropriate inspection frequencies as result of process changes or upset conditions.
o Will perform interim integrity inspections if needed due to process change or if upset conditions have been noted.


Candidate must possess a high level of integrity as well as good customer service skills.
Full time positions would be a permanent residence position that would include health benefits and 401k. All candidates must be willing to submit to a physical and drug screening.

Must be able to furnish certifications. Customer Service skills also necessary
