Position Summary:
This position is responsible for performing the hands-on inspection and preliminary evaluations of inspected items. The Level II is also capable of generating specific inspection techniques to be submitted for approval to the QA/QC manager. This individual reports directly to the RT/UT Supervisor.

Essential job responsibilities/functions to include, but not limited to:
1. Demonstrate and ensure an overall commitment to safety.
2. Able to work in a team environment.
3. An NDT Level II individual shall be qualified to set up and calibrate equipment for task at hand.
4. Interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, specifications, procedures and customers specific requests.
5. Properly perform specific calibrations, specific NDE, and specific evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and to record accurate results.
6. As required by various jobs and clients:
a. Read isometric drawings.
b. Execute safety and permitting requirements.
c. Perform routine maintenance and repair equipment.
d. Operate vehicles and equipment (With certification or license).
e. Responsible for proper transportation, control and disposal of hazardous materials in technicians control.
7. Direct, instruct, and be a positive role model to the trainee or Level I that is accompanying them on the job.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Level II certification in at least one of the following methods as specified by Company’s QA Manager:
a. Radiography - Limited (8 hour radiation safety)
b. Radiography – Unlimited (8 hour radiation safety)
c. Ultrasonic – Limited
d. Ultrasonic – Unlimited
e. Magnetic Particle
f. Liquid Penetrant
g. Eddy Current – Limited
h. Leak Testing –Limited
2. Aptitude for working at heights
3. IRATA Level 1 or II certification
4. Must possess the ability to work independently
