Screw Machine Machinist – Acme, set up, repair, maintenance

Southern opportunity with a large, growing, long time manufacturer of screw machine components. This is one of the largest screw machine facilities in the southeast. Having placed many employees with the company over the years who are enjoying long careers. Their area has a good cost of living and affordable housing. Our client will assist new hires with a relocation package. This is a busy company launching many new components. They pay for travel to the interview. Our client has many long term employees with over 20 years with the company.

We are searching for a highly skilled Acme Machinist that will focus on debugging and troubleshooting. This position will report to engineering and be assigned to areas needing attention. We are searching for candidates with Acme multi spindle screw machine experience. The ideal candidate will have set up, repair and/or machine rebuild experience. Experience replacing bearings, spindles, shafts, clutches, slides and machine ware parts is needed. Knowledge of machine attachments and the ability to diagnose machining or machine tool issues is a major focus of the position. Our client will consider candidates with Acme screw machines, set up and repair or maintenance mechanics with screw machine rebuild experience.

MUST HAVE: a minimum of 7 plus years of Acme Gridley multiple spindle screw machine, repair or rebuild experience. Candidates with some past set up experience is preferred. Strong problem solving skills and the ability to diagnose machine tool issues is also required. This position will float through the shop to diagnose and repair.
