Job Title: Quality Inspector

SQA Quality Inspectors require visual acuity and the ability to detect defects on highly complex materials. This position calls for visits to one or more suppliers in the Houston, Texas metro area. This is an opportunity for part-time or full-time work. We are looking for a Quality Engineer or Inspector, to visit suppliers as needed, to inspect mechanical parts per ANSI/ASME and customer requirements.
• Primary responsibilities include inspection of complex mechanical parts, i.e., machined parts, castings, forging, etc.
• Must have working knowledge of GD&T and/or ANSI/ASME Y14.5
• Must have previous experience as a Quality Inspector with mechanical parts
• Should should have experience using inspection and measurement tools, such as micrometers, gauges, etc.
• Compensation is paid her hour, depending on experience, technical capability, etc.
• Inspector should have knowledge in root cause analysis and corrective action processes
• Billingual English/Spanish is a plus
• A four-year degree is not required
• Experience with Quality Engineering tools is a plus, i.e., FMEA, Gage R&R, Control Charts, etc.
