API 653 Tank Inspector Job Description

General Duties
This position involves both office and field work, with occasional exposure to severe cold temperatures, hazardous atmospheres and hazardous locations. Employees work 11.5 hours per day, seven days per week, on a 3x3 schedule. Employees must demonstrate a willingness to participate in all safety programs.

Preferred Skills
Computer Abilities ¡X Microsoft Office programs including MS Word and Excel.

ƒnCertifications ¡X A current API 653 tank inspector certification is the primary certification which is required. Preference will be given to individuals who can produce training history of working with Ultrasonic's Level II, MT, PT.

Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates ¡X Must be able to provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.

Abilities
Gross Body Coordination ¡X The ability to coordinate the movement of your arms, legs, and torso together when the whole body is in motion.

Stamina ¡X The ability to exert yourself physically over long periods of time without getting winded or out of breath

Night Vision ¡X The ability to see under low light conditions

Work Activities

Performing General Physical Activities ¡X Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and stooping.
Tasks may also include physically moving and setting up inspection equipment (Maximum component weight +/- 50 lbs).

Getting Information ¡X Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources for future inspections.

Report Generation ¡X Compiling field notes, historic documentation, and drawings to produce a technical inspection report.

PP&E-Wear Common Protective or Safety Equipment such as Safety Shoes, Glasses, Gloves, Hearing Protection, Hard Hats, or Life Jackets
