Position Summary Our Ona, WV operation is in need of NDT Technicians UT , MT, PT. Internal job code # 2049 Responsibilities Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using ultrasonic, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle and other nondestructive testing methods Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations Interpret ultrasonic instrument presentations, digital readouts, and visual indicators Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results Organize and report test results May instruct and supervise trainees Requirements High School Diploma 40 Hours Formal Classroom training in MT and PT, 40 Hours Formal Classroom training in UT Thickness a must Strong technical background in NDT methods and procedures. <(knowledge in the calibration and use of Olympus Epoch III or IV A/B-Scan scope, a plus) Physical Demands Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to climb ladders up to 100 ft multiple times per day Ability to climb stairs up to 100 ft multiple times per day < Ability to enter confined spaces through small entryways requiring bending and twisting to enter and exit Ability to work at <100 feet heights, confined spaces and highly volatile industry situations Acuren Inspection, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer where employment is based upon personal capabilities and qualifications without discrimination because of race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, disability, veteran status or any other protected characteristic as established by law.
