Looking for technicians capable of a senior role; responsible for being a lead on various in-field projects as well as training/development of other technicians being brought into pipeline integrity. This position requires being able to follow and implement all written practices and policies per clients’ requirements. Position requires analytical abilities, good communication skill, working knowledge of the various NDE disciplines, and good writing capabilities. This position also requires the ability of the applicant to be away from their residence for various periods of time without relief. Must be a self-starter/motivator and be able to work alone at various times.

Duties will include: Inspect, document and report on exposed pipelines for coating and metal loss anomalies, crack detection and sizing and collection of data relating to the corrosion environment within the exposed pipeline area.

Data Collection will consist of:
1. cathotic protection measurements
2. pH measurements
3. soil sampling and resistivity measurements
4. sub-meter GPS point collection
5. Mapping of coating holidays
6. Mapping and depth measurement of pipeline metal loss defects (ID/OD)
7. RSTRENG/KAPA Calculations
8. Magnetic Particle Testing of exposed pipe & repairs inspection results
9. Wall thickness and defect measurement with straight beam, shear wave, and AUT results
10. Photo documentation of site and pipeline assessments and repairs
11. Carbon Equivalent (CE)
Skills:
Experience & Certifications Required/Desired:
1. NDE UT Level II with advanced techniques
2. NDE MT Level II
3. J. Mark Davis UT Flaw Detection and Sizing Course or equivalent training
4. NCCER’s Pipeline Training and Assessment Program (PTAP)
5. Pipeline Integrity field experience
6. Organizational and time management skills
7. Interpersonal and leadership skills
8. Technical proficiency and attention to detail are essential to the position
9. Excellent Excel skills
10. Good data management skills
11. Valid driver’s license
12. CWI certification a plus but not required
