Tool & Die Maker – machinist, cold heading, fastener, tool making
Position is located in the southwest. Relocation assistance is provided. This is a growing and successful manufacturer of standard and specialty fasteners that has expanded their tool room operation. This corporation invested in additional machine tools and added onto their facility. As many companies laid off during the downturn, this company was hiring. They have many long term employees with years with this company. This company pays for interview travel expense and relocation assistance for those out of state. They also offer good insurance benefits and 401K. The area offers affordable housing and highly ranked schools.
We are searching for highly skilled tool makers, preferably with cold heading tool & die making experience. Past experience working from prints to machine. Cold headed / cold forming tooling is a plus. Knowledge of standard tool room equipment such as manual mills, lathes, cnc lathes, grinders and wire edm. Some training is offered, however, candidates will need a minimum of 5 years of experience producing tooling. Candidates will need the ability to measure tooling, follow work instructions and read prints. This is a first shift position with overtime available.
MUST HAVE: 5 plus years of tool & die making. Candidates who are certified journeyman tool & die makers are preferred. Knowledge of general tool room equipment such as manual mills, grinders, lathes, cnc lathes, presses, drill press and edm is needed. Direct experience working in a cold heading and fastener manufacturing environment is preferred. We will consider candidates with forge, extrusion, stamping or related metal forming tool building / tool making experience.
