A growing world class medical device OEM is searching for a Value Stream Manager to lead their manufacturing team. This corporation is expanding their machining operation and launching new products. They are also expanding the facility. Our client has a long history of internal promotion if qualified associates are available. We are searching for a high energy manager to coordinate, lead, guide and coach a world class team of highly skilled machinists and technical professionals. This is a machining operation having multi-axis CNC mills, CNC lathes, swiss CNC lathes, laser marking, polishing, metal cleaning and finishing. The position requires a 4 years degree preferably in engineering or technical related / science degree. Interested candidate who advanced their career for the engineering ranks are preferred. Ideally we are searching for a leader with a minimum basic understanding of CNC machining processes. The Value Stream Manager coordinates as production, plans for efficient use of labor, machines and materials. Experience analyzing capacity, managing workflow and cost is needed. Past experience coordinating multiple manufacturing department, ensuring quality, monitoring production, resolving production issues and developing action plans is also needed. This position will manage skilled machinists, cell leaders and shift supervisors. The value Stream Manager is responsible for planning scheduling, work flow, setting priorities, communication of goals, ensuring quality and safety. The ability to help resolve production and machining issues is strongly preferred.
Candidates should have 5 plus years of supervision / management, lead a large department of multi-shift operation and have experience coordinating multiple departments. We will consider shift supervisors, production managers, manufacturing managers or operations professionals with a thirst for career growth.
MUST HAVE: a Bachelors degree and 5 plus years of production management in a highly regulated manufacturing environment such as aerospace, medical, nuclear or DOD. Strong leadership, planning and communication skills are needed. Promotional candidates should apply.
