We have an opportunity available for a Level II UT Shearwave technician, with our client’s location in Anchorage, AK. This is a full time – direct hire position. No contractors will be considered.

In this position, you will report directly to the Division Manager. You will be expected to correctly identify inspection locations and track the progress on inspection work packages.

Typical work will include:
- Scanning piping systems for corrosion/erosion networks and thickness
- You must be capable of interpreting welds made from various processes according to but not limited to ASME, ANSI, API, and AWS codes.
- You will work as a 2 man crew – and be required to mentor and train the UT trainees.
- Work is in the field, working on and around pipelines.
- You will need to calibrate an Ultrasonic scope
- Produce quality evaluations in accordance with our clients procedures
- Fill out daily permit and inspection reports
- Communication is KEY | you will communicate with supervisors, operators and peers by telephone, radio, written and/or in person.
- Must be able to identify a problem, determine a resolution and act appropriately
- Must be able to observe, receive and obtain information from all relevant sources to process inspections in a timely manner.


Skills:
Education & Experience:

- HS Diploma or Equivalent
- MUST have Level II UT Shearwave certification
- Other Level II certifications are a plus but not necessary
- Must have experience with UT codes and standards for
- MUST be self motivated and able to work with little to no supervision
