NDE Specialist/RT Auditor
Responsibilities
The NDE Specialist/RT Auditor’s responsibilities include ensuring all non-destructive testing inspection work is properly performed and documented; reviewing and interpreting radiographic film and non-destructive test reports that have been produced by the contractor’s technician and reports results to the inspection team. Also, identifying welding defects and reporting same; verifying the quality of radiographs; ensuring contractor radiographic personnel are properly qualified and certified and that procedures are correctly documented; and ensures all welds are properly inspected in accordance with the contract requirements. The NDE Specialist/RT Auditor shall also review and comment on contractors’ welding procedure specifications (WPS), confirm compliance with welding procedures, document unacceptable welds, identify necessary repairs, file and adequately document all weld inspections conducted in accordance with DOT and other agency requirements. The NDE Specialist/RT Auditor shall participate in daily meetings and address any safety concerns brought about by audited contractors.

Qualifications
NDE Specialist/RT Auditor shall have the following minimum experience:
• Knowledge of non-destructive testing methods, equipment, standards, specifications and limitations of non-destructive testing inspections.
• Knowledge of construction codes for pipeline related work.
• Knowledge of welding processes, procedures, inspection methods and the use of welding equipment.
• Knowledge of welding metals, as well as, pipeline and related construction standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to interact with welding staff, field inspectors, construction personnel, and management.
• Excellent safety record and attention to detail.
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
NDE Specialist/RT Auditor must have the following:
• Four years of experience as an ASNT NDE Level II lead technician
• Must be familiar with all documentation and capable of generating, completing, or auditing documents unique to pipeline applications
• Must be recommended by an operations manager/supervisor
• Must have no unresolved negative feedback from job evaluations or technician audits
• Must be approved by an ASNT Level III
• Must have AWS CWI, AWS CRI, or prior experience as an NDE Specialist/RT Auditor

Pipeline Safety conducts drug and alcohol testing, education, employment, driving and criminal background checks, and fit for duty testing. This position requires extensive travel, and company relocation is optional.
