NDT LEVEL III (IMMERSION ULTRASONIC TESTER)

PRIMARY FOCUS
• The primary purpose of this position is to develop and continuously improve a comprehensive product inspection system that meets customer and specification requirements and additionally provides product performance and quality data usable for continuous improvement of our products and processes.
PRIMARY DUTIES
• Provide Level III NDT services to the company as defined in ASNT and customer specifications which includes the training and certification of associates in product inspection and SPC as required by customer specifications and internal needs.
• Develop and maintain test procedures that meet customer specification requirements.
• Continuously develop and document new and innovative methods and technologies to maintain or improve all aspects of the product inspection systems. Interact with outside vendors and technical experts as required.
• Interact with customers to better understand their products and problems toward improving customer satisfaction and product performance.
• Assist engineers and managers in developing and implementing continuous improvements of the process and products.
• Develop and implement statistical techniques to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills:
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor of Science or Associates degree in a technical field and NDT Level III required. 5+ years NDT experience as a certified Level III and 7+ year experience in a NDT role. Hands on experience in performing tests and inspections is essential for an individual to be competent in this area. ASNT Level III License required. Experience in Aerospace industry testing billets and bars is preferred.
• Requires a high degree of computer analysis skill to identify and analyze quality and inspection problems.
• Ideal candidate must be able to analyze technical information and communicate with team in order to find resolutions.
• Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to stand and walk frequently and lift 10 lbs occasionally.
