UT Level II

JOB DESCRIPTION: Certified at Level II. Perform nondestructive ultrasonic examinations on various metal materials and forge products used in oil and petroleum markets. Operate automated immersion scanning equipment to check materials or product requirements against standards, procedures and customer specifications.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:

• Ability to be certified immediately to SNT-TC-1A Level II UT and MT or have a valid third party certifications, CGSB, PCN, etc.
• 2 plus years verifiable new construction pipeline experience.
• Immersion and automated ultrasonic testing experience.
• Previous experience and knowledge of advanced UT applications such as Phased Array, Tip Diffraction, IGSCC & TOFD a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to work various shifts.
• Must be able to travel out of town 50% or more of the time.
• Must have ability to meet company certification standards.
• Must have strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to set up and standardize equipment, conducts tests, interpret and evaluate hardware for acceptance or rejection in compliance with required specifications and standards and document the results.
• Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the techniques and method in which they are certified.
• Be familiar with reading and interpreting shop planning, codes, engineering drawings and specifications, engineering orders, inspection procedures, material review reports and other contractual documents.
• Be capable of developing written work instructions form approved general procedures.
• Must have working knowledge of MS Office Suite of products.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of product manufacturing and inspection technology.
• Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar.
