Desert NDT, a nondestructive testing business for over 20 years, is looking for Technicians Level II (UT-T, PT, MT, RT)for different locations in Odessa and Poteet, TX.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Technicians Level II is responsible for performing various methods of non-destructive testing/examination (NDT/NDE), detailing examination findings in report format, and interfacing with the customer representative. Emphasis is placed on quality of the work product and the efficiency of work execution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Actively participate in Client safety programs
• Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
• Set up and utilize MT, PT, UTT, and RT equipment
• Ensuring strict adherence to industrial safety and health guidelines and our radiation safety program and regulations
• Interpret radiographs to various code books
• Organize and report test results
• Fill out daily Inspection reports and utilization logs accurately and legibly
• Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management
• Adheres to the Company Code of Conduct
• Complete time sheet and expense reports weekly
• Complete Time and Material sheets

• Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, visual acuity, accommodation and color vision
• Moving, carrying and lifting objects in excess of 50 pounds
• Climbing and working off of ladders, stairs and scaffolding in excess of 100 feet
• Working extended hours and standing for extended periods of time
• Working in indoor and outdoor environments in conditions of extreme heat and cold
• Work in and near industrial hazards
• Be able to work outdoors in warm, hot and cold conditions

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must have required ASNT classroom training
• Certified or Certifiable Level II in RT, MT, PT, and UT Thickness
• Industrial Radiography Radiation Safety Personnel IRRSP or agreement state card
• Knowledge of Field NDT equipment
• Current Driver’s license
• Basic computer skills, preferred
• Be able to climb ladders and platforms up to 250 feet with a harness and lanyard
• Knowledge in application and compliance requirements of regulatory codes (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and industry standards and recommended practices (API, NFPA, ASME, etc.) is preferred
