The HSET Field Tech will provide safety training, situational assistance to Acuren inspection personnel, incident investigation and field observations. The Tech will provide safety training to meet Acuren and client requirements. The Tech will assist with field safety concerns including follow up on incident.

Hours of work: 11.5 hours per day (may be longer as conditions demand), 7 days per week on a rotational schedule (2x2 or 3x3). Pay is hourly, subject to straight time and overtime. Employees are responsible for travel costs to Anchorage or Fairbanks, AK. Job is located in Prudhoe Bay Alaska.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Corporate Governance
• Execute the responsibilities of a Trainer according to lawful and ethical standards. Uphold, safeguard, and promote Acuren’s values and philosophy relating particularly to ethics, integrity, safety, quality, and corporate responsibility.

Reliability
• Safety
 Provide direct support for the HSET Coordinator and leadership in the investigation of all safety incidents. Each Acuren employee has the right and responsibility to stop unsafe work.
 Provide resources to carry out safety training where required, and to conduct safety audits on a regular basis.
• Quality
 Ensure that staff assigned to each project exhibit adequate training and experience and that we have complete and accurate certification documents on file to support the required certification.
 Supports HSET Coordinator with supplementary training programs where industry training has proven insufficient.
• Efficiency
 Ensures clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost effective manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Respond to employee concerns, identifying and mitigating hazards and risks.
• Assist all employees and all field and facility personnel in ensuring adequate safety, health and loss prevention measures are being followed.
• Perform Field Audits and SOCs.
• Provide leadership and actively participate in Acuren and client safety initiatives and programs.
• In the stead of the HSET Coordinator or HSET Trainer, participates in and promotes daily toolbox meetings and general safety awareness.
• Ensure performance of work is meeting procedures, best practices.
• Constantly evaluating the operation to identify areas where safety can be improved.
• Ensuring adequate feedback to promote continuous improvement.
• Providing safety orientation to new hires.
• Provides refresher training (annual & 3 year) as required by client and Acuren programs.
• Input training records and related documentation into ISNet World and file hard copies in personnel training folders.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Knowledge
• High School diploma
• Good computer skills, with the knowledge or ability to learn Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)


Experience
• 2 – 5 years of experience in NDT, and general safety.
Specific Skills
• Background in NDE and familiar with the hazards related to inspection on the North Slope.
• Good communication skills both verbal and written.
