NDT Technician - UT Level II – Shear Wave

JOB DESCRIPTION: UT Certified at Level II. Perform nondestructive ultrasonic examinations on various metal materials and forge products used in oil and petro chemical markets. Operate automated (AUT) and UT immersion scanning equipment to check materials or product requirements against standards, procedures and customer specifications.

Skills:
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:

• 2 to 5 plus years verifiable experience is required.
• Immersion and automated ultrasonic testing experience.
• Previous experience and knowledge of advanced UT applications such as Shear Wave is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to set up and standardize equipment, conducts tests, interpret and evaluate hardware for acceptance or rejection in compliance with required specifications and standards and document the results.
• Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the techniques and method in which they are certified.
• Be familiar with reading and interpreting shop planning, codes, engineering drawings and specifications, engineering orders, inspection procedures, material review reports and other contractual documents.
• Be capable of developing written work instructions form approved general procedures.
• Must have working knowledge of MS Office Suite of products.
