Nondestructive Testing Group Lab Manager

The NDT Group Manager will be responsible for the day to day operations of the Marietta NDT Lab.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Managing the NDT Technicians and support staff for the NDT Lab.

• Organizing personnel and equipment to complete NDT jobs.

• Ensuring that equipment is properly maintained, calibrated and handled.

• Tracking job progress, quality of work and efficiency to insure compliance and profitability.

• Completion and maintenance of reports.

• Acting as a knowledgeable point of contact for customer.

• Providing exemplary customer service.

• Interacting with customers, vendors and site personnel as a professional representative of ATS.

• Maximizing department revenue by identifying and acting on sales opportunities with existing and new customers, involving ATS sales staff as necessary.

• Marketing ATS NDT services to new and existing customers.

• Ensuring that ATS personnel adhere to ATS and customer safety programs.

• Occasionally performing and maintaining the certifications to perform NDT inspections in each of the 5 major disciplines, VT, MT, PT, UT and RT.
Skills:
Minimum qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the field as a NDT Technician, with knowledge of ASME, AWS, EN and Nuclear codes.

• Certified or at least certifiable to Level II in Visual Testing, VT, Magnetic Particle Testing, MT, Penetrant Testing, PT, Ultrasonic Testing, UT and Radiographic Testing, RT.

• Demonstrated leadership skills proven in NDT or possibly a similar industry

• Excellent communication skills

• Professional demeanor and appearance

• Demonstrated organizational skills

• Knowledge of NDT sales and marketing

Preferred qualifications:

• Sales experience

• Managerial Experience
