Duncan Aviation is the largest family owned, maintenance, repair and overhaul organization for corporate jets in the world. We are growing our Provo, UT location with the addition of in-house NDT services. As a result, we seek an experienced NDT Technician, preferably Level 2 certification in the aviation industry and experienced with dye penetrant, magna flux, ultra sound and eddy current. This is a new lab and the right person will be able to help lead this field as the location and comany continues to grow. In this position, the NDT Technician:

Conducts NDT tests to airframes and/or component parts per manufacturer or industry standard specifications, Duncan approved procedures, and customer’s expectations using all safety and health precautions. When applicable, selects inspection method, determines test equipment, calibrates test equipment to standards, and evaluates results. Orders parts or tooling as needed to complete job. Inspects components and aircraft systems as a qualified inspector.
Researches, prepares, and signs off various documents for record keeping purposes as required by Duncan approved procedures, manufacturers’ maintenance manuals, and FAA regulations, i.e. turnovers, 8110-3’s, W.O. Sheets, personal training log, and other work order related documents supporting the review squawks and expected hours. Completes additional customer documentation, as necessary.
Monitors and maintains test equipment and work area, as required.
Depending on experience, may assist with training other team members, as needed.
Skills:
NDT Technician I

Associates Degree in NDT technology or equivalent required.
Repairman’s Certificate

NDT Level I Certification per Duncan Aviation quality manual.

NDT Technican II

Associates Degree in NDT Technology or equivalent required.
Minimum three years experience in NDT inspection or related repair experience required.

NDT Level II Certification per Duncan Aviation quality manual.
Both positions require the following:

Lifting: Routinely up to 50-75 lbs
Attendance: Regularly scheduled attendance required
Overnight and short-notice travel
Tolerates products and materials associated with NDT
Tolerates working in confined spaces, extreme temperatures, heights above six feet, noisy environments, standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time
Satisfactorily passes annual Visual Acuity Exam
Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
