Purpose:
The technician prepares inspection tools for projects in the Americas and provides general support to other regions as required.

Role and Responsibilities:
• Performs mechanical assembly and preparation of inspection tools and support equipment for projects
• Assists the testing of inspection tools
• Interfaces with Inventory and Logistics Department in the coordination of project requirements
• Disassembles, cleans, and tests incoming tools
• Performs maintenance on tool components and equipment as required
• Completes procedures and checklists related to group work
• Performs duties according to the company’s ISO requirements and standards
• Is responsible for maintaining a safe and professional assigned work environment
• Operates forklifts and overhead cranes as required
• Performs other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:
• Pre-employment physical test required.
• Must possess reasonable manual dexterity to perform the assigned duties and be capable of effective communications
• Specific vision, standing, walking, hearing, and talking abilities required by this job shall be sufficient to perform the assigned duties which include but not limited to ascending and descending numerous set of stairs while carrying test equipment
• Shall be able to endure long work hours and needs stamina to withstand fatigue, stress, and hardship
• Ability to routinely lift/carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 90 pounds floor to waist, up to 50 pounds waist to shoulder and floor to shoulder 50 pounds
• Ability to occasionally push up to 50 pounds and pull up to 50 pounds

Work Environment:
• Normally works in a shop/field environment which may include extreme conditions: hot, wet, and/or cold
• Extensive travel that includes domestic, international, and one and off shore, along with evening work
• Involves travel to field locations, customer sites, and the NDT shop or test facilities

Qualifications and Educational Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in ILI inspection or Ultrasonics preferred
• Ability to understand mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams
• Knowledge of basic and some advanced principles for the job’s core discipline
• Mechanical aptitude required
• Must be able to successful pass background checks and obtain US Passport, TWIC Card (within 60 days of hire), and Commercial Driver’s License
