The Level II Eddy Current Technician is responsible for, but not limited to, the following job descriptions:
• Proficient in performing Eddy Current inspections to the clients expectations;
• Knowledgeable in the type of electric inspection coil that is used for steel applications;
• Proficient in Eddy Current testing equipment;
• Capable of performing calibration tests;
• Knowledgeable in Eddy Current inspection in the Pulp Paper, Heat Exchanger, Petrochemical environments;
• Performs the specific non-destructive test process as identified in the shop order work instruction;
• Inspects and interprets the test results;
• Proficient in documenting results of the Eddy Current inspection(s);
• Identifies all unacceptable discontinuities for location and dimension;
• Mechanically inclined to identify failures in the Eddy Current inspection equipment;
• Capable of servicing projects with limited supervision;
• Liaisons with engineering, inspection and other personnel as required assisting in researching and solving non-destructive test process problems.

Preferred Qualifications, Experience:
• High school diploma or G.E.D.;
• Current certifications in MT and PT;
• Familiar with applicable welding codes, i.e. ASME, API, AWS, etc.;
• Currently holds 40 Hour Radiation Safety certification;
• Knowledgeable with OSHA’s General and Construction safety industries;
• Able to pass FBI and Company drug/alcohol testing;
• Capable of passing Fit for Duty testing;
• Capable of passing Ergonomic testing; and,
• Able to pass a motor vehicle check.
Skill Requirements:
• Able to meet a “Call Out” working schedule;
• Above average computer skills including Spreadsheet and Word Processing software;
• Able to meet travel requirements;
• Punctual;
• Effectively carry out supervisor’s instructions;
• Above average communication skills; and,
• Proficient in problem solving.
