QC Laboratories, Inc. is a privately owned industrial and commercial non-destructive testing laboratory (NDT), incorporated in the State of Florida in 1965 with branches in Hollywood and Orlando, Florida and Cincinnati, Ohio. QC Laboratories expertise is in providing all disciplines of non-destructive testing services for aircraft, aerospace, marine and construction materials.

We are seeking a career-minded individual for the position of Level II Radiographic Testing Technician – NAS-410, preferably someone who is looking for long-term growth and potential. In addition to the job description below, candidates must possess strong customer service skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to multi-task at a quick pace. Being a team player is a must!

SUMMARY: Perform calibrations, Nondestructive Tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Assure parts are properly processed to the applicable NDT method specifications.
•Read and interpret indications with reference to applicable Quality Engineering Instructions. (QEI)
•Perform daily system checks.
•Perform set up and calibration of equipment.
•Organize, report, and maintain records of x-ray inspection results.
•Move parts to proper department after x-ray inspection is complete.
•Work in other Quality departments when required by supervisor.
•Ability to work flexible hours (all shifts when necessary) and overtime when required for shipment purposes.
•Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
•Keep work areas in a clean, orderly, and safe working condition.
•Comply with all applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
•Perform all other duties assigned by supervision.
•Assist in other tasks as required

QUALIFICATIONS:
•X-Ray Reader Level II Certification preferred
•High school diploma or equivalent; college or trade school preferred
•Must be a highly motivated self-starter that can identify potential problems and collaborate with management to take action
•Must possess willingness to assist where needed to ensure the company meets its goals and objectives on time
•Must possess time management skills
•Willing to learn and apply new skills
•Good written and oral communication skills
•Ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively
•Demonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional groups
•Self-motivated, able to multi-task, and detail oriented
•Strong organizational, problem-solving and decision-making skills
Background checks and Drug Screenings will be completed on all candidates considered for hire.

Skills:
REQUIREMENTS:
•Certified Level II Radiographic Testing (RT)
•80 hours classroom training in Industrial Radiography
•40 hours classroom training in Radiation Safety
•800 Verifiable OJT hours IAW NAS-410
•IRRSP or State card
•Other NDT Methods a definite plus. UT, PT, MT, ET
•Must be able to learn procedures quickly and be a team player
•Easily adapt to new organizations / technical environments
•Project management on small to medium projects
•Must be able to perform a variety of routine tasks and demonstrate a good working knowledge of equipment, procedures and working with common hand tools

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
•Frequently required to sit, walk, or stand
•Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read
technical information, and/or use a keyboard
•Frequently required to lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds
•Work on Specialized equipment
