Quality Inspection Services lands $10 million contract with enrichment facility in New Mexico

Buffalo-based Quality Inspection Services, Inc. has finalized a $10 million contract with Rust Constructors, Inc. to provide services over a two-year period at a uranium enrichment facility under construction in Eunice, New Mexico.
QISI was the winning bidder for the contract, which covers the initial project and includes civil material inspection and testing. The contract represents the single largest the company has ever earned, and was selected from three other firms that provide similar services. QISI spokesperson Lori Jacobs said the project could exceed $20 million after additional nondestructive testing is performed for the plant. The addition of services and cost throughout the course of a project, Jacobs said, is common.
