Infrasense Inc., a leading provider of subsurface detection and non-destructive
test services in the evaluation of civil engineering infrastructure, is pleased to
announce its 25th anniversary! Since opening its doors in 1987, Infrasense has
specialized in applying Ground-Penetrating Radar (GPR), Infrared Thermography
(IR), and Ultrasonic techniques, for assessing condition and characterizing the
as-built environment of different infrastructure facilities. Infrasense designs,
develops, and implements nondestructive evaluation and subsurface
measurement programs specifically tailored for the needs of its clientele.
Since 1987, Infrasense has provided GPR and Infrared services and maintained
its position as a leader in the nondestructive evaluation of infrastructure
facilities. The Civil Engineering industry, like the rest of the world, has seen
much growth and innovation over the past 25 years (before Infrasense first
opened its doors, the World Wide Web didn't exist, hardly anyone owned a cell
phone, and Michael Jordan had never even won a playoff series). Since
Infrasense was formed, there have been some remarkable accomplishments in
Civil Engineering, including the completion of the world's tallest skyscraper
(Burj Khalifa) and longest underwater tunnel (Channel Tunnel) and suspensions
bridge (Akashi-Kaikyo Bridge). These engineering triumphs help to remind us
that 25 years is a significant length of time, and the firm is proud of its own
successes and growth over these years.
Over the past two-and-a-half decades, Infrasense has completed projects of all
sizes, ranging from 3500 lane miles of pavement thickness surveys in
Oklahoma, to local culvert surveys to establish load ratings. Its engineers have
surveyed over 20 million square feet of bridge decks and collected over 15,000
miles of pavement thickness data - that's further than a road trip from the
Infrasense office in Massachusetts to Santiago, Chile!
While Infrasense engineers have performed surveys in all 50 U.S. states, its
projects aren't limited to only the United States. Infrasense has provided
nondestructive testing and subsurface sensing expertise around the world,
including Canada, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Here at Infrasense, we look
forward to supplying our clients with accurate and comprehensive results for
many more years to come.
