SGS takes pride in its announcement that it has once again successfully passed
the annual British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing's (BINDT) accreditation
audit with zero findings or Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).

Back in 2008, SGS was the first company in the history of both the BINDT and
PCN (Personnel Certification of NDT) programs to achieve zero NCR in each of
the initial audits for Approved Training Organization (ATO) and Authorized
Qualifying Body (AQB) status. Since then, SGS has continued to maintain its
perfect score and is extremely proud of its staff dedication to delivering the
high-quality training services required to successfully fulfil the industry needs
and client demands.

B.I.N.D.T.

The British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT) is an accredited
Independent Certifying Body offering certification services around the world. In
July of 2008, SGS was honored as the first ever AQB and ATO to have passed the
initial BINDT accreditation audit with a perfect zero non-conformance score.

BINDT accreditation permits SGS to conduct training and examinations in
accordance with BINDT requirements in China and around the world. An
increasing requirement of safety compliance and quality assurance, it is
essential that operators and technicians are able to demonstrate the necessary
level of knowledge, skill and competence to fulfil internationally recognized
safety and reliability standards. Manufacturers, consumers and the general
public rely on the skill, judgement and integrity of the professional personnel
involved in providing this security.

Although BINDT manages the certification program, The pre-examination
training is provided by the ATOs and the PCN examinations are provided and
controlled by the AQBs. Both ATOs and AQBs are continuously and vigorously
audited by BINDT.

The SGS NDT Training & Examination Center has the prestigious distinction as
the first permanent establishment in China to offer both ATO and AQB services
in both English and Chinese languages.

As a BINDT Accredited Training Organization and an Authorized Qualifying
Body, SGS trains and certifies to the highest inspection standards and is
accredited to conduct both the mandatory pre-examination training and PCN
examinations for Levels 1, 2 and 3. The scope of these SGS services covers both
conventional and advanced NDT methods and are taught by experienced and
qualified tutors in accordance with international standards.

On September 29, 2012, the SGS NDT Training & Examination Center in
Shanghai, China reiterated its ATO zero non-conformance reports distinction in
accordance with the BINDT audit.

Since first achieving BINDT ABQ and ATO status in 2008, the SGS NDT Training
& Examination Center has undergone annual control audits and maintained its
100% success rate. On the 29th of September this year, the SGS center
underwent a scheduled BINDT annual audit and once again received a zero non-
conformance reports rating as an ATO.

SGS Training in Shanghai

The SGS Group Shanghai facility and its NDT training services has continuously
evolved since 2008. The SGS Shanghai NDT Training & Examination Center now
offers advanced NDT training and frequently conducts ultrasonic testing of TKY
welds (Nodes & Nozzles) as well as Level 3 consultancy services.

Although the main facility is based in Shanghai, SGS is able to deliver training
and examinations anywhere in the world. Despite being located in the Far East,
the SGS facility in China has become a popular choice among candidates from
all over the world registering for initial training or recertification examinations.

SGS is particularly proud of the success of its Shanghai training center and of its
investment in China.
