SGS Acquires EMICS Ltd. UK

SGS is pleased to announce the acquisition of EMICS Ltd., based in Nottingham
UK.
EMICS, formally known as East Midland Inspection & Calibration Service, is a
leading independent UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) calibration
laboratory. It complements the SGS Oil, Gas and Chemicals Services' offering in
the M&I (Measurement and Instrumentation) services. EMICS serves the Rail,
Marine, Aerospace, Nuclear and Automotive industries.
Founded in 1990 and privately owned, EMICS employs 43 staff and is expected
to generate 2012 Revenues of £ 2.8 million.
