With the recent weather patterns and how drastically it is changing, golf courses
need to stay on top of their grounds in order to keep the course in working
shape. Atlantic Subsurface Imaging is now helping golf courses scan for
irrigation, drainage mapping, and utility locating in New York.

Whether a course is planning to remodel, improve their irrigation system, or
locate a pipe junction for replacement, it is very important to make sure that a
person has an accurate map of the courses underground utilities. Using Ground
Penetrating Radar (GPR) technology, Atlantic Subsurface Imaging can go around
the course without being destructive to locate and find irrigation and drainage
lines under the courses greens and fairways. Some other utilities such as
electric gas can be found all without digging or plumping. GPR is a method that
uses radar pulses to image the surface. This method is non-destructive and
uses electromagnetic radiation and detects the reflected signals from surface
structures. GPR is used in a variety of media including rock, soil, ice, fresh
water, pavements and concretes. GPR detects objects, changes in material, and
voids.

Depending on client requirements, Atlantic Subsurface Imaging can compile
data found in ground penetrating radar in New York and present it either by
marking key points of the underground lines with survey flags, or by building a
comprehensive CAD drawling showing the location and depth of the
underground lines in relation to Subsurface features using Subsurface imaging
in New York.

About Atlantic Subsurface Imaging, LLC:

Atlantic Subsurface Imaging offers three main types of GPR services. These are:
Concrete Scanning, Utility Location, and Bridge Deck Analysis. Concrete
Scanning is used to find obstacles buried inside concrete structures. Utility
Location is used to locate obstacles and utilities buried underground or under
man-made structures such as slabs, roads, runways, and buildings. Bridge Deck
Analysis is used to determine the condition of aging bridge decks for repair
work as well as to verify new construction.
