System One announced today a partnership agreement with Evisive, LLC to exclusively offer their EvisiveScan technology across the United States allowing manufacturers and constructors the ability to volumetrically and accurately inspect dielectric materials in a broad range of applications. With the advancements in microwave inspection technology over the past 10 years, this new NDE method has gained recognition for its ability to inspect many different dielectric materials with broad industry implications.

EvisiveScan microwave inspection technology is being used to volumetrically inspect Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP), High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) vessels and piping, as well as Rubber Expansion Joints (REJs). This technology is also used on other composite materials such as wind turbine blades and aerospace ceramic applications across the power, petro-chemical, and aerospace markets. EvisiveScan provides the first ever volumetric inspection of FRP vessels and piping. This includes pipe overwrap joints and socket joints for water intrusion, thickness measurement, the detection of interior pitting, blistering, and delaminations. Most importantly, this technology can inspect from the outside of a vessel or pipe with no human entry required.

"This new microwave inspection technology has revolutionized the topography of the NDE industry. The EvisiveScan technology is more accurate, more reliable, and can be deployed across a vast array of material applications. This new NDE technology will provide our customers with new material integrity data that will drive significant cost savings, increase system safety, and reduce the risk of component failures when compared to current NDE technologies in dielectric applications. The partnership between System One and Evisive, LLC is transforming the way we do business in FRP, HDPE, and REJ reliability projects," said Steve Huntington, Senior Vice President, System One. About Evisive, LLC

Evisive, LLC holds patents in dozens of countries for an electromagnetic inspection technology that can be used to test for defects in nonmetallic components such as fiberglass piping. EvisiveScan technology is a nondestructive, non-contact inspection method. EvisiveScan microwave nondestructive examination (NDE) technology was patented in the 1990s. This method was developed primarily to inspect dielectric materials such as Rubber Expansion Joints and Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic. This advanced and proven microwave NDE technique coupled with a comprehensive data gathering and display program has made it the preferred alternative method of testing for engineers around the globe. Evisive, LLC is based in Baton Rouge, LA.
