Professional Experience in Saudi Arabia:
From 1994 till date as QC Engineer/QC supervisor/Project coordinator/Project Engg/Manager with Hidada Co, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Company profile: Hidada is one of the famous steel construction companies in the Middle East and is an ISO 9001 certified organization.
The main function include design, manufacture/ fabrication and erection of structural steel works, storage tanks, EOT cranes, heat exchangers, container handling cranes, gratings, poles, towers, cable support system and various galvanized products. This company is operating throughout Middle East and many other countries, with concentration on hi-tech manufacturing, industrial, and renovation projects in the fields of Petrochemical/Gas/Oil /other construction. Total annual capacity is 90,000MT of diversified products.

Various Responsibilities & assignments during the services in Hidada:

Quality control Inspector /Engineer

 Inspected fabricated materials for various structural steel projects.
 Generated Inspection reports /Non conformance reports.
 Conducted nondestructive tests on weld joints as per ASNT-TC-1A.
 Inspected painting quality of the painted materials
 Reviewed various reports prepared by Inspectors.
 Monitored the inspection activity at various plants.
 Prepare method statement report for field repairs.



CWI Inspector / QC supervisor

 Worked as CWI Inspector/QC supervisor for the construction of storage tanks at Riyadh refinery /Jeddah Refinery /Haradh Gas plant project site of Aramco (Saudi Arabia).
 The storage tank diameter varied from 15 m to 30 m.

 The tanks were of various types i.e. Sulfur tanks /crude oil storage tanks /sour water tank/RO water tank etc.

 The tanks were built with Dome type/Conical self supported /Floating roofs.


Responsibility/nature of job as QC Supervisor assigned to work with Aramco sites:
 Conduct Internal Project Quality Index Evaluation at the site
 Prepare 2 weeks look ahead schedule of all planned quality activities
 Investigate root causes for non-conformities and initiated corrective action to prevent recurrence.
 Prepare and monitor weekly weld rejection rates for each welders
 Preparing weekly NCR status
 Prepare Inspection and Test Plan as per contractual requirements and getting approval from Saudi Aramco
 Prepare exceptional item lists during project closing stage.
 Coordinate with Saudi Aramco/clients Project Inspection Dept and Project Management team.
 Supervise a team of welding inspectors NDT inspectors, Mechanical/Dimensional inspectors.
 Coordinate with client and third party inspection agencies
 Involved in preparing of WPS, PQR, Weld Map, Weld Schedule and related pre-qualification documents.
 Attend fabrication/ construction progress meetings. Record urgent need of Inspection areas based on the priorities.
 Supervise inspection activities such as Visual Inspection, Magnetic Particle, Ultrasonic Inspection, Post Weld heat Treatment, Leak Test, Hydrostatic Test, Pneumatic Test, Welding Consumables control, Weld repair etc.
 Coordinate with inspection of all bought out mechanical & Instrumentation items
 Review of project documents including Erection Procedure, Quality Documents, Final Handover procedures etc.

Worked as project coordinator stationed at USA for the US power plant

 Coordination of the delivery of the fabricated steel as per the erection drawing and priorities.

 Fabrication subcontracting of the material that were expected with a delay
 Verification of the non conformance reports to take corrective action.

 Call for kick off meeting with various departments to highlight the requirement of the project.
 Verify the Project budget with most available information.
 Order material required for the project as per the material order list from engineering dept.
 Monitor the project as per priority requirement /schedule accepted.
 Conduct meetings with departments to achieve the targets of the project.
 Communicate with the client related to the project activity.

Assigned as Technical Team member in the fabrication of Riyadh refinery heater project (Saudi Aramco)
 Fired heater consists of crude and vacuum heaters.
 Each unit with radiant and convection sections
 Modularized heater boxes complete with insulation and coils.
 Coil welds were fully radio graphed and hydrostatic tested.
 Insulated with both Ceramic Fiber Blankets and Refractory.
 Stacks, ducts and dampers included.
 Client: ABB End User: Saudi Aramco.
