Working at the Valero in Corpus Christi, TX I was in charge of keeping track of all Code work this included the top section of the Main Frac that was replaced, a 24” nozzle and re-pad that was replaced on the same tower, a 2” nozzle change to a 3” with internal distributor of a Depro Tower applied PT’s regular temp. and high temp. also assisted with hydro pkgs.

*QC 1 Performance Contractors Valero Houston SEP 2008—Nov 2008
Night shift QC over seeing 10 rig welders, VT on welds completed, performing quality audits, quality meetings to educate personal, maintaining a daily update of weld log and weld map, walk down of pkgs, selling hydro pkgs.

*QC 1 REPCON, INC. Jan 2008---April 2008
Working at the BP Texas City, TX I was in charge of keeping track of all valves that were pulled from the unit; each valve was sold individually, small bore was ping and gasket checked, large bore had a torking check off list added to the pkg. I also assisted with flange repair, gathering all NDE required for overlays and inspecting raise face after machining.

On this job I was primarily in charge of equipment at the Alky unit keeping track of inspections completed by the API on exchangers, vessels/ drums, and towers and following the repairs recommended in odder to gather all NDE needed. After completing this task I continued to work on pipe hydro packages, punched and sold them, following up on post hydro issues if any, and resold for pre commissioning.

I was in charge of performing dimensional inspections of 24 CNC’s, applying PT, MT examinations, weld shop inspection of 10 SAW machines, 4 MIG machines, verifying weld procedures were followed (pre-heat temp, amperage & voltage, correct wire(s) if dual wire feed welding) PWHT scheduling UT and RT as well as performing audits.

I over saw the performance of 26 combo welders on night shift recorded all welds, and weld mapped if needed, noted results of VT inspection scheduled NDT inspection, flagged welds, filed a daily report, punched and sold hydros, and performed quality audits.

This was an on call job where I performed PT, MT, UT examinations on down whole drilling lines.

I audited supplies going to assembly lines for quality assurance and also participated in the transportation of the same in a timely manner, this enabling inventory control as well quantity delivered, under time frames.

I was in charged of the document control for the QC department (piping, E&I, structural, welding). I conducted field surveys for traceability and completion point. Supervised WPQ’s and scheduled NDT crews for RT and PT examinations. I also sold hydros and a pneumatic test on a 20” heavy wall steam line.

*QC Inspector/ expeditor/translator Inspection & QC, Inc. April 1999 -- January 2001
At this job I translated the engineering meetings at one of Mexico’s PEMEX refineries at the city of MADERO. I supervised 8 employees; 2 riggers, 2 flat bed operators, 1 boom truck operator, a 30 ton crane operator and 2 field helpers. After completion of this job I was transferred to an off shore oil rig construction yard. Here I inspected installation of all equipment and pumps. I also performed boroscope inspection inside pumps for cleanliness.

My duties were to apply WPQ’s, PT, UT for thickness readings, using a Cambridge gage I inspected for undercut, excess crown, etch. And deliver a daily report to the client.

With over 8 years in the inspection field, I am a prime team worker resulting in efficiently achieved goals, I have developed excellent interpersonal communication skills; I am detail oriented, a professional in recognizing/ identifying anomalies and I am self motivated to take that extra step in search of more information or what ever my company may require in order to achieve a quality plan.
