•Duties include performing multiple Non-Destructive tests to ensure strict shipyard and Naval guidelines are followed. Perform audits and surveillances on specific job activities to make sure deadlines and quality control points are met in a satisfactory condition.

•Train, certify, and hire new welders for the company by administering a 50 question written exam and a practical application test on 5” schedule 80 pipe with a backing ring, P-3 joint design and welded in the 6G position.

•QAI- In charge of keeping the companies Quality Assurance Workbooks in order throughout each specific task and running through a checklist to ensure quality completion of the job and proper documents.

• Three Years experience in NDT. Certified to ASNT Standards for visual testing, liquid penetrant testing, magnetic particle testing and radiographic inspections.

•Performed Visual and Penetrant tests in accordance with Mil-Std-1688 and 1689, 22 Delta, T9074-AS-GIB-010_271, NAVSEA Tech Pub 278, and the Mil-Std 2035A - NDT Acceptance Criteria” on weldments of high pressure steam piping and low pressure steam drain piping located in the nuclear reactor plant of the USS John C. Stennis.

• QA Craftsman with 500+ hours of experience in reviewing Controlled and Formal Work Packages to ensure sure that QA steps and procedures were followed and that the applicable standards and materials were properly in place.

• Highly knowledgeable and proficient in the operation and procedures of using an Innovex XRF Metal Analyzer Gun. Used to ensure that the correct materials were used to specifically match blueprint drawings.

• Attended Basic and Advanced Firefighting Schools. Also played an important roll on the USS John C. Stennis Fast Action Response Team. Knowledgeable in the maintenance of the SCBA and other FFE.
