I am a QC welding inspector with fifteen years experience in Oil and Gas. Working onshore, offshore and overseas. Starting my career as a welder, I served a four-year welding apprenticeship. After gaining qualifications in all aspects of welding and fabrication, I progressed to Welding supervisor in the ship building industry and overseas. I have good knowledge of all welding procedures and specifications. I have CSWIP and NDT qualifications with Radiography Interpretation and have worked as a QC Supervisor. As a welding inspector I ensure all welding personnel adhere to correct approved procedures. I would consider myself loyal, hard working, ambitious, and respectful of others at all times and can work in any environment unsupervised. Please find my CV attached. CAN offshore LTD-Welding and NDT inspector- Viking B platform ConocoPhillips
· Dead leg survey and visual inspection following isometric and P&ID drawings
· Monitoring all welding ensuring welders adhere to ASME 1X WPS
· DPI, MPI and UT inspections on existing pipe work
· Tagging welds for radiography
· Interpretating radiographs reporting any defects
· Monitoring weld repairs

Nov 08 To May 09 .NDT Services. Welding Inspector.S7000 Crane Barge Decommissioning CDP1 platform. My duties include:

Ensuring welders adhere to correct approved clients procedures
Pre/post visual inspection welding and fabrication fit ups
Welding audits and monitoring welder qualification tests
Control of welding consumables
Reporting all NDT and visual reports to QA/QC department
Monitoring and recording of weld repairs
Conversant with AWS,ASME,ASTM,EEMUA,NORSOK and British standards
100% MPI on all welds & lamination wall thickness checks on old existing steel work

· Ensuring sub contractors adhered to correct approved QC plans and procedures
· Coordinating NDT and overlooking contractors reports
· Supervising pressure tests and welder qualification tests on site
· Ensuring compliance to: BS EN 15607, BS EN 15609,BS EN 15614,BS EN 287-1,
BS EN 12944, BS EN 14015 and ISO 5817
· Final visual inspection on Gypsum Silo Tanks
· Signing of job packs ready for commissioning
· Producing non-conformity reports and punch lists for outstanding work

· Pre/post weld, fit up and front line inspection
· Tagging welds for MPI, DPI and Radiography
· Ensuring correct procedures are approved and followed correctly
· Liaise with NDT team ensure reports are complete for QC department
