Certifications
Recently completed an NDT course at Louisiana Technical College which encompasses five disciplines: Visual Inspection, Ultrasonic Testing, Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant and Radiography Testing based on Level 1 and Level 2 coverage in compliance with SNT-TC-1A and CP-189 standards. Awarded Certificate of Appreciation from the 9th Annual NDE Workshop by New Orleans section of ASNT for hands-on application of NDE Techniques used in industry mostly in the area of calibrating of NDT equipments like (UT)—DMS 2, 37DL Plus, USN 58L, Epox XT etc. Currently level one, but in progress for certifications both levels 1 and 2. Prior to this new career shift, worked for an Architectural and Engineering company. Also trained in design and drafting with (Auto Cad) systems.

(NDE Level 1): World premier producers of custom steel line pipe to the energy industry. Responsibilities include but not limited to ensure that all prime pipes meet specifications. To achieve this, some of the methods performed are specific calibrations, UT thickness reading, UT shear wave, visual inspection of pipe OD, ID, bevels and weld full length for any indications. Also perform dimensional checks like; wall thickness, trim groove, diameter, straightness, squareness, roundness or ovality of the pipe according to Stupp specs 5 L-0006 (API)

(NDE Trainee): Temporarily did a job for a span of few weeks before the assignment ended. Duties included but not limited to complete extensive VT and analysis on welds for steel frames and structures of buildings. Also I participated in the use of Non Destructive Testing in evaluating the usefulness for identifying indications or cracks by performing MT and PT on the reinforcement steel bars for New Orleans levee barrier being constructed presently by Cajun Construction Co.for Army Corp. Engineers.
