Welding Instructor 3/2010 – 3/2012

• Duties: On a daily basis I supervised and instructed twenty students in a variety of welding processes. I taught a number of academic classes, which included Welding Theory 1&2, Blueprint Reading for Welders, Metallurgy and Fabrication. My duties also included maintaining and repairing the welders and machinery in the shop. I took over this program in March of 2010. I had kept enrollment full and have helped students gain employment. I left the college in 2012 due to state budget cuts.

• Duties: On a daily basis I supervised high school students on the safe use of a variety of welding processes and shop safety. I also instructed the students in Shop Math, English and career building skills. Other duties included being an advisor to students outside of my welding classes, during/ their high school years.
