My position at present is senior coating’s inspector for HBPJV Steel Structures department working for the Taiwan High Speed Rail Company. The project involves fabrication, painting and erection of 7 steel bridges on the Taiwan High Speed Rail Link.
My duties involve:

1. Engineering evaluation of sub-contractors proposals and equipment.
2. Administration and collation of protective treatment associated documents for review/final issue.
3. Advising and assisting other department within HBP on protective coating issues.
4. Liasing with Clients repesentatives.
5. Manage a team of sub-contractor’s and manufactures coating inspectors ensuring quality, satety, and production meet HBP’s requirements.
6. Liasing with sub-contractor representatives in advisory and supervisory roles.
7. Monitoring sub-contractors progress to ensure that site requirements are satisified.
8. Inspection of sub-contractor protective treatment works to ensure steel structures are in accordance with relevant specifications.
9. Ensure sub-contractor quality procedures meet contractual requirements with relation to protective treatment issues.
10. Monitor and ensure implementation of sub-contractors approved procedures with regard to protective treatment.
11. Ensure sub-contractor safety practices and procedures conform to HBP requirements and are implemented.
