I'm a NACE certified coatings inspector in the QA department. I perform audits and inspections of the contractor. I develop and implement programs for surveillance and auditing of the contractor to achieve an acceptable product throughout the construction of the ship. I also perform audits, surveillance and unscheduled surveillance of the contractor to monitor the work that is in process to prevent or document defects and to verify adherence to the Ship Spec/Contract. When the product does not meet the contractual requirements, I investigate and if needed initiate corrective action (C.A.R.) to get the adverse quality trends back within the requirements of the contract. I use statistical information and other means to gather the require information needed.
