Our client is a leader in manufacturing large a full range of small and mid-sized parts, as well as, large turbine frame structures and titanium components. Industries served include aerospace, automotive. As an NDT Level III NDT Engineer you will utilize your technical education, training and NDT experience to maximize your effectiveness. Will assist with NDT inspection certification and auditing systems, interpret codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the method and techniques utilized by the company. Will select the method and technique for a specific NDT inspection. Approve NDT procedures and other NDT related work instructions for technical adequacy. Must have general knowledge of all NDT methods utilized; PT, RT, MT, UT and VT. Other duties include conducting training, examination, and certification of personnel in the NDT methods and techniques. Perform NDT for the acceptance of parts. Will assuming technical responsibility for the NDT inspection departments and auditing of outside suppliers to ensure requirements of the written practice are met. Will be the final authority for and shall arbitrate disputes concerning the interpretation of NDT related specification requirements and/or the acceptability of NDT results. Prepare the training and examination program. Have a thorough knowledge of written instructions, codes, specifications and standards used by the company's customers in the aerospace industry. Skills:
2 years of engineering or science study at an accredited technical school, college, or university. 5 years Level III experience in each NDT method, or combination of both. ASNT Level III or ACCP Professional Level III in PT, RT, MT, or UT. Familiar with NADCAP and other aerospace auditing. Excellent interpersonal skills with personnel at all levels. Supervisory/management and strategic planning experience required. 10 years experience working in investment casting or related metal industry is preferred.
