KEMA is seeking non-destructive testing (NDT) technicians on a temporary and / or independent contractor basis to further support KEMA's growth in the area of conventional and automated non-destructive testing services. These will be contract positions and candidates can be located remotely.
Skills:
Tasks will include

• Perform NDT field-services in Liquid Penetrant (PT), Magnetic Particles (MT), Eddy Current, and Ultrasonic inspections (Phased Array UT, Time Of flight Diffraction (TOFD), and conventional UT)
• Interact with clients on work schedule and scope of work
• Report test results
• Provide specialty NDT services utilizing automated data acquisition systems and scanning fixtures
• Maintain related test equipment, tools, and machinery in good working condition


Minimum Requirements

• 2 years non-destructive testing (NDT) experience
• Level II Certification in Magnetic Particles (MT) and Liquid Penetrant (PT)
• Familiarity with power generation and components such as generators, steam turbines, etc.
• Confidence and ability to work independently, be self-motivated, but also be a team-player
• Willingness to travel frequently is essential
• Ability to satisfactorily pass a background investigation and drug screen required.
• Good analytical skills and problem solving abilities
• Capable of performing work in power plants including nuclear facilities


Preferred Qualifications

• Level II Eddy Current and / or Ultrasonic (UT)
• Familiarity with automated scanning equipment
• Previously worked within nuclear power plants within in the last year
• 2 year degree in NDT, or a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
• Supervisory experience
