CNC Manufacturing Engineer – cnc lathes, swiss cnc lathes, milling, programming, APQP
A division of a large international corporation is continuing to grow and expand. The growth is due to having built a world class team of highly skilled manufacturing associates. Their team is second to none when it comes to machining talent. This corporation offers great benefits, bonus, retirement, educational assistance and possible career growth. They have state of the art multi axis CNC machine tools and automation in a clean modern facility. Our client invests in new technology on a regular basis. They purchase modern equipment to ensure the company remains competitive internationally. This division produces close tolerance automotive fuel and engine components. They will assist in relocation and will consider candidates throughout the country.
We are searching for highly skilled hands on Manufacturing Engineers with a minimum of 5 years of cnc programming. The Manufacturing Engineer will need experience on one or more of the following processes: CNC machining centers, mill/turn, CNC multi tasking machines, CNC lathes with live tooling and/or swiss type CNC lathes. This position requires project management, cost estimating, processing, fixturing, tool selection, CNC programming and strong machine tool problem solving skills. Knowledge of CNC programming either manually or using cam software is required. The ability to design special cutting tools and fixtures to optimize processes is a plus. Experience justifying machine tools, launching new components and working on lean / continuous improvement activities is preferred. Candidates with the ability to document tool list, set up instructions, inspection plans / control plans, process flow diagrams and PFMEA’s is also preferred. Strong hands on debugging skills and the ability to work with associates at all levels is a must. Our client will consider degreed candidates or equivalent on the job experience with continuing education.
MUST HAVE: a minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering processing and programming multi axis CNC programming machine tools. Knowledge of 3 axis milling and multi axis CNC turning with live tooling is needed. Experience launching and processing new designs is required. Candidates will need cutting tool, feeds, speeds, cnc programming, problem solving and strong documentation skills.
