PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Area Sales Manager will work to improve Acuren’s
market position and achieve financial growth.

This position focuses on development of Reliability
Engineering Services (RES), Condition Based Monitoring
Service (CBM) Line Revenue and Materials Lab Services
while supporting the growth planning of short & long-term
organizational strategic goals for all company services.
Strategic growth includes development of company
offerings, support for marketing & communications
material, implementation of effective processes and
liaison with regional and corporate Business development
team.

Frequent business travel is to be expected.

EXPECTED OUTCOMES:
Your performance in this position will be assessed
against these expected outcomes:
• Generate increased revenues with existing and new
clients
• Effectively communicate CBM, Reliability and
Materials Lab Services both to internal and external
clients
• Improve understanding of customer business,
processes, technical issues
• Identify technology and service solutions to the
client and collaborate with internal expertise
• Generate professional quality service line
specific marketing and sales material
• Support development of new and innovative
services to expand revenue growth
• Generate proposals for project and full time work
– with support of SL team and regional management

Essential duties and responsibilities include the
following:

Provide revenue growth to the reliability service line
by:
 Preparing action plans and schedules to identify
specific targets and to project the number of contacts to
be made.
 Manage opportunities and activities using
Acuren’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) program
 Following up on new leads and referrals resulting
from field activity.
 Identifying sales prospects and contact these and
other accounts as assigned.
 Preparing presentations, proposals and sales
contracts.
 Maintaining and assisting in the development of
sales materials and current product knowledge.
 Establishing new client relationships and
assisting with the maintenance of current client
relationships.
 Forwarding or referring paperwork to activate
contract services.
 Managing account services through quality checks
and customer service follow-up.
 Identifying and resolving client concerns.
Informing operations management team of client concerns.
 Preparing a variety of status reports, including
activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals
utilizing SalesLogix and other tools
 Communicating new product and service
opportunities, special developments, information, or
feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate
company staff.
 Coordinating company staff to accomplish the work
required to close sales.
 Assisting with regional sales and corporate
marketing objectives to facilitate coordinated marketing
efforts between groups in different regions.
 Strategizing with staff to develop a culture that
embraces safety, recognizes hazards, and takes action to
minimize risk.

Represent the interests of Acuren Group by:
 Providing assistance to Acuren operations group
and customers by telephone and in person.
 Participating in collaborative development and
presentation of technical presentations.
 Assisting operations group with product
demonstrations & documentation (such as user manuals),
technical bulletins, and white papers.
 Reporting issues or problems to the operations
group.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Knowledge
 Direct Career experience related to sales
including: Technical Sales Experience, 5 to 10 years
direct CBM & Reliability sales experience in actual
utilization, support and application development
 Above average familiarity with condition based
monitoring techniques
 Familiarity with Advanced Diagnostics Services
related to vibration diagnostics, structural correction,
RCFA and FMEA
Experience - Specific Skills
• Excellent communication skills in English, verbal
and written
• Must be capable of producing clear and easy to
understand visual and oral presentations.
• Must be an effective and comfortable communicator
capable of doing live presentations before small to
medium sized audiences.
• Must be a self-motivated individual with strong
focus on marketing and problem solving skills.
• Must have an attitude of excellent customer
service. Must be able to travel, extensively at times, in
Canada & US
