Orchid Orthopedic Solutions, a worldwide leader in the contract design and manufacture of implants, instruments and innovative technologies for the orthopedic, dental and cardiovascular markets, is looking for an NDT Inspector III on the Day shift at its Oregon Operation located in Oregon City, OR.

The successful candidate will perform fluorescent penetrant Inspection on castings and interpret discontinuities to ensure castings meet customer specifications and perform radiographic inspection of castings and interpret discontinuities to ensure castings meet customer specifications.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Set up and standardize equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results; Perform work within the scope and limitations of the technique/method; Conduct system performance checks in accordance with the applicable process standard; Provide the necessary guidance and/or supervision to trainees and Level 1 personnel; Develop work instructions from approved general procedures (such work instructions require final approval by a Level 3 certified in the method); Complete all required reports as applicable; Perform salvage/rework operations as necessary; Perform required part-marking.

Skills:
Qualifications include but are not limited to: HS Diploma or equivalent; 32 Hours PT Classroom Training; 80 Hours RT Classroom Training; Good written and verbal communication skills; Ability to read and understand manuals and schematics; Vision Acuity to: Jaeger#2 (or equivalent) @ not less than 12”, corrected or uncorrected in at least one eye, the ability to perceive 8 or more Pseudo-Isochromatic Test Plates. (Color Perception); Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Experience Required: 400 Hours PT (Penetrant Testing); 1,600 Hours RT (Radiographic Testing).

Work performed in manufacturing environment where exposure to a number of elements occurs; Use of PPE per JHA; Repetitive grasping; Lifting/transferring of materials to 40# up to 1 hour/day; Use of foot controls.
