carrier aircraft, WhiteKnightTwo and spacecraft, SpaceShipTwo.
SpaceShipTwo and WhiteKnightTwo are manufactured and tested in Mojave,
California, by its manufacturing wing, The Spaceship Company. Spaceflight
operations will be based at Spaceport America in New Mexico, the world’s
first purpose-built commercial spaceport. Virgin Galactic is also developing
LauncherOne, an affordable dedicated ride to orbit for small satellites

Responsibilities:
• Be the NDT focal for the ops team and run and/or oversee the NDT
execution on the vehicles
• Own the GMM development project and drive the phased release plan
• Support all the SME’s for each GMM chapter in the technical authoring
system
• Support/Develop the spaceline quality control program
• Support FAA liaison work for mx and operations
• Support the receiving inspection program of the flight vehicle components
• Perform audits of open items (MR, NRI) on air vehicles and provide reports
to pilots, chief inspector, etc. prior to flight or any other air vehicle activities
deemed necessary
• Perform oversight and audit of VG Ops processes and procedures to
ensure compliance and lead corrective action on discrepancies
• Assist in developing application packages for regulatory items
• Assist is development of crew training modules for overall operations
readiness
• When required, support maintenance operations with vehicle maintenance
crews
• Assist with AD research projects and maintain database standards within
the MRO system

Qualifications:
Perform inspection and analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of
products to design and customer requirements.
Perform receiving, in-process production, and final assembly inspections and
provide objective evidence of results in accordance with QMS requirements.
Communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, with
engineering, management and production personnel to convey product
acceptance criteria and inspection results.
Generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as required within the Oracle
ERP system.
Comply with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
